For Canines
What vaccines does my dog need?
Preventative Tests
Heartworm Test-This disease is transmitted by mosquitoes and can decrease the life of the pet and cause heart problems. Our test also checks for several tick diseases.
Fecal Check-This test checks for intestinal parasites, some of which are transmittable to humans. Intestinal parasites can cause anemia and weight loss, along with other problems.
Preventative Products
Heartworm Prevention-We offer Simparica Trio (also kills fleas and ticks), Interceptor Plus, and Heartgard. All of these products are given orally once a month and will also help control intestinal parasites.
Flea and Tick Control-Simparica Trio kills fleas/ticks and prevents heartworms. We offer Nexgard which is a chewable tablet given as a treat once a month for flea/tick control only.
For Felines
What vaccines does my cat need?
Preventative Tests
Leukemia and FIV Test-This blood test checks your cat for these diseases, all of which can be fatal.
Fecal Check-This test checks for intestinal parasites, some of which are transmittable to humans. Intestinal parasites can cause anemia and weight loss along with other problems.
Preventative Products
Flea and Tick Prevention-We offer Revolution (flea, tick, intestinal parasites, heartworm, and ear mites). It is a monthly topical application.
Clinic Questions
How old does my puppy or kitten need to be in ordered to be neutered or spayed?
They need to be 6 months old to be spayed or neutered. Your pet must be up to date on all vaccines. If you’d like an estimate on the procedure, give us a call at 405-329-6889
Do you accept walk-ins?
No, we currently do not accept walk-ins. We are by appointment only but you are welcome to call during business hours to see if we have available appointments for that day. If you have an emergency, give us a call at 405-329-6889 to see if we can get you in.
Do you offer boarding services?
Yes, we do. All pets that are boarding need to be up to date on vaccines including Bordetella for dogs. All pets are fed twice a day, dogs are walked twice a day.
Do you accept OVMA spay/neuter certificates?
Yes, we do. If you have been accepted by the program, please give us a call at 405-329-6889 to schedule the surgery before the deadline written on your acceptance letter. All vaccines and extra pain management will be at your expense.
What community service projects do we support?
We support area shelters, Friends for Folks program, Special Olympics, Adopt a Road, OU pre-vet program, OSU mentor program, State Fair/OSU spay/neuter exhibit, Terrific Kids, Veterans Bingo, Secret Santa, Optimist Sports, and are members of Norman Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis, OVMA, and AVMA.
